ALM Legal Intelligence is the industry leading information provider delivering comprehensive and authoritative information on Legal market / Law Firm business intelligence. We form strategic relationships with customers to deliver information solutions to customers throughout the US.
As the Sales Director you will focus on our information subscription business and our full portfolio of legal information products. Your primary responsibility will be to generate revenue from new accounts. You will identify and qualify opportunities for both up-sell and cross-sell as well as conducting appropriate product demonstrations and client presentations. This role will include an element of new business but the main focus will remain on customer retention, contract renewal and product upgrades.
The ideal candidate will have client facing solutions sales / account management experience with a proven record of achievement in the legal sector. You will be professional in your approach, have a strong personality with the charisma and communication skills to liaise at the highest level and above all posses the drive and determination to truly develop a rewarding career with an industry leading information provider.
Responsibilities:
New business development
Performing web demos and face to face sales pitches
Proposal writing and follow-up
Negotiation and product pricing (within pre-defined guidelines)
Soliciting feedback to refine sales direction, product offering and pitches
Upkeep of all ongoing sales activities in CRM including weekly snapshot reporting to VP
Liaise with marketing to pick-up leads generated from direct mail and email campaigns
Liaise with marketing team to ensure marketing activities are aligned with sales priorities
Requirements:
Must have 5 - 10 years of sales /business development experience, specifically selling legal research solutions.
Bachelors degree
Experience selling to librarians and marketing officers/ executives in boardroom setting.
Very Internet savvy (up to speed on social networking sites & latest trends in technology)
Born to sell in an intellectual way
Strong interpersonal, writing, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Fluent in MS-Office
